The Mirror Session is a 45-minute guided experience and service, combining the ancient craft of face casting with intentional rest. You leave with a physical cast of your own face and the memory of an hour spent entirely with yourself.
Face Casting - The History
Face casting is one of humanity's oldest impulses. The desire to preserve a living face in permanent form.
From the death masks of ancient Egypt and Rome to the life masks of Napoleon, Abraham Lincoln, and Beethoven, civilizations across time have reached for this same act: capturing the face as it truly is, in a specific moment, forever. It is an art of remembrance. Of presence made permanent.
The Craft
Today, face casting is a foundational technique in professional special effects makeup. Before any prosthetic appliance is built for film or television, a casting of the actor's face is taken - creating an exact replica that serves as the working surface for sculptors and makeup designers.
It is a practiced, body safe process used routinely across the industry. The materials are skin tested and widely trusted. The methodology is precise.
My Practice
As a working special effects makeup artist, I take face casting of actors regularly. It is a standard part of how I build and fit custom prosthetic pieces. I have done this many times, in professional environments and on working productions.
What I'm offering here is different only in focus: no full-body process, no production timeline, no outcome other than you. Just the face. Just the experience. Just what you take home.
A.) Mirror Session + Base Resin Replicant
(45 min - 1 hr)
$400
Standard session. Face casting performed with body safe silicone material. While being applied, you may take the time to go within yourself and tune into music or take a moment to contemplate and release to allow your mind to empty itself. Once session is complete, you will receive a black or white resin casting of your face.
B.) Mirror Session + Custom Face Replicant
(1hr 30mins)
$700
Additional fine art face piece created within the next two weeks, based on our consultation before the standard session. I will assess the attributes you see within yourself or want to explore in yourself and translate that to this visual manifestation. Material choices can be discussed, and you may bring in your own materials.
C.) Mirror Session + Masterwork Replicant
(2hrs)
$1200 +
Additional option to have a masterwork created in your image, based on our consultation. We will discuss how you see yourself and what additional details you would like to add. If no direction is given, we can discuss what I see through our consultation.
D.) Mirror Session + Silicone Replicant
(1hr 30 mins)
$1900 +
A replicant face casting crafted from skin like and soft silicone. Painted with realism, or abstract. Tell me where you want to go with this! Skin can be tinted any color and painted in any style. Please provide references, or trust me to deliver your words into a vision I see for you!
Extra Face Casting Replica - Black (or) White

At the end of the face casting session, you will receive one face replicant in black or white. This option here is for you to request an additional piece.
